A niche banking player, BankVic is tailored to meet the unique financial needs of police, emergency services and health workers– you know, the incredibly important bedrock of our society. The brand challenge? There was very low awareness within these communities that BankVic exists exclusively for them. Building upon existing strategic research and insights, we built a new brand narrative anchored on the idea ‘banking which goes further’ embodying the way BankVic goes the extra mile for this unique audience, such as extended retail hours to accommodate shift workers. Speaking the language our members know best, we used cues from emergency semiotics to optimise the mark and transform the visual system to create instant connection, relevancy and ultimately help support those who support Victoria.
